Cowabunga! It’s Diamond Comic Distributors’ 40th anniversary!

All year, the company has been partnering with merch makers to launch special-edition products to celebrate this milestone year. The latest? An exclusive Minimates box set from Diamond Select Toys. The box set features a retro design and includes everyone’s favorite pizza-loving, sewer-dwelling crime fighters — the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The new Minimates drop will feature all four Ninja Turtles: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Each figure will include that turtle’s trademark weapons, with a retro look inspired by early Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys.

Fans who purchase the new Minimates will also receive epic accessories, including four baby turtles, throwing stars, a mutagen canister, and a mouser. As always, each 2-inch Minimate features multiple points of articulation for poseability.

But the coolest part of these collectibles has to be the packaging. The box set features retro-style VHS packaging, complete with a slide-out cassette-shaped tray that holds the figures and a slip-case with original cover art. The innovative packaging will take you back to when TMNT first premiered on-screen 35 years ago!
