Julius, the Paul Frank monkey, is back like you’ve never seen him before.
Paul Frank and Loungefly have teamed up to launch a new collection inspired by the iconic brand and ‘90s staple. The collection features a mini backpack, a zip wallet, and a crossbody bag.
The mini backpack has a front pocket that looks like Julius’ face. The rest of the bag is light blue with red accents and smaller Julius heads decorating both the outside of the bag and the interior lining. The zip wallet features the same repeating Julius design as the mini backpack. The crossbody bag, however, is the standout piece in this collection. While it features the same light blue base and red accents as the other two items, the bag shows a scene of Julius having a picnic with his animal friends under a rainbow on the front and him watching the sunset with an alligator on the back. Julius’ face is his most iconic feature, but the crossbody bag amplifies his cuteness even more.
To commemorate this new partnership and the new collection, Paul Frank and Loungefly are hosting a fan event at Sugar N’ Spice, the frozen banana stand on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, California, on Feb. 12. The stand is just a few minutes away from Huntington Beach, where the Paul Frank brand launched in 1995.
