Zen is spreading coast-to-coast this summer thanks to Rilakkuma’s 20th-anniversary USA Tour!
Throughout the months of June and July, Rilakkuma will be celebrating two decades of promoting cuteness and serenity (Rilakkuma means “bear in relaxed mood” in Japanese) by stopping in six different cities across the U.S.
The stops will give fans of the cartoon bear and his pals a chance to shop exclusive merchandise, such as the Rilakkuma USA Tour Plush with star-spangled ears. There are also stickers, buttons, and tumblers — all giving the delightfully lazy bear an injection of Americana. Fans can also participate in Rilakkuma-themed events, including meet-and-greets and photo-ops.
The Rilakkuma 20th Anniversary USA Tour will stop in Los Angeles until June 25, San Francisco from June 30-July 2, Seattle from July 7-9, and Chicago from July 15-17. The road trip has already stopped in Newark, New Jersey, and Dallas.
The character Rilakkuma was created in 2003 by the Japanese company San-X. Since then, the tiny brown bear has become a staple of merchandise and collabs, appearing on stationary, clothing, collectibles, and more.
