Everyone knows the best part of any Bond movie is the villain. The next James Bond movie may not have a director at the moment, but it does have its main baddie, at least according to Saïd Taghmaoui. The actor—who played one of the soldiers who backed up Wonder Woman in her solo flick—said that Danny Boyle was considering Taghmaoui as the villain before the director left the project. Now that’s up in the air, too, depending on the nationality of the enemies.

“We don’t know who the director will be, and the producers don’t know if they’re going to go Russian or Middle East with the baddie right now,” Taghmaoui told The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi. “I literally just received a message saying, ‘If they go Middle East, it’s you. If they go Russian, it’s someone else.’”

After Boyle’s departure as director, reports pointed toward actor Tomasz Kot as the leading choice to play a Russian villain in the film. If that’s the case, then someone should probably tell Taghmaoui.
