From author signings to exclusive collectibles, giveaways, and more, TheOneRing.net (TORn) is transporting fans to Tolkien’s iconic Lord of the Rings universe this week at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC).
Regarding panels, on Sunday at 2:15 p.m, TORn will host LOTR: New Age of Adaptations at its booth, No. 1934. Fans will hear from a range of LOTR experts including Jay Komas (general manager, Middle-Earth Enterprises), Clifford Broadway, (host, TORn Tuesdays,) Matt Grad, (Nerd of the Rings), Jim Wert (TORn special events coordinator — East), Kellie Rice (author, Happy Hobbit), and Cathy Udovich (TORn special events coordinator — West) on the new age of adaptations of The Lord of the Rings. The panel will cover updates on The Hunt for Gollum, which is currently filming in New Zealand, and previews of The Hobbit MTG cards, with many fan discussions sure to be had, following Friday’s Prime Video’s The Rings of Power panel.
TORn will also host multiple signings throughout the week, starting on Preview Night, Wednesday at 8 p.m., with author Kellie Rice, otherwise known as K.M. Rice, TORn staffer, and Happy Hobbit Kili, alongside director Sir Richard Taylor. The two of them will sign copies of the Middle-Earth From Script to Screen book. Note that fans will need to take a short detour to Wētā Workshop (Booth No. 3613) to attend this event.

On Friday, composer Bear McCreary will appear at the TORn booth at 12:30 p.m. to sign copies of The Singularity and/or The Rings of Power soundtracks. The first 50 fans who purchase a vinyl record or CD before 12:30 will receive a priority ticket, guaranteeing them a chance to meet Bear when he arrives at the booth. Fans who don’t have a ticket will be directed to a separate line and will meet Bear (time permitting) after those first 50 ticket holders go through. A maximum of 3 items per person can be signed.
Sir Richard Taylor and K.M. Rice will return to the Wētā booth on Sunday at 9 a.m. for another singing of Middle-Earth From Script to Screen, provided copies are still available after Wednesday’s event. Fans can also unwind at the Tea with Tolkien event at TORn’s booth on Sunday at 11 a.m, where they can purchase a copy of Into the Heart of Middle-Earth, signed by author Kaitlyn Facista, and pick up some freebies.
Available exclusively at the TORn booth, and currently only on sale for pre-order and on-site pickup at the show, is the official Prancing Pony deluxe wooden tankard & shot glass bundle, by Burgschneider and Lumengrave. With only 500 units available, fans should order this set ASAP — select the day you’ll be at the show and pick it up then. TORn will hold it at the booth. Pre-orders will also include an exclusive pin, available only with the pre-order at no additional cost.

The iconic Prancing Pony shirt is making a comeback this year, this time with new styles, including glitter ink and women’s cuts. The all-new Merry Dol, River-daughter shirt, inspired by the iconic Fleetwood Mac Rumors album, will also be available at TORn’s booth, with an exclusive limited-edition variant available only on Wednesday night featuring the classic tan-colored album artwork in black and white.
Jackson Robinson, creator of the LOTR playing cards and the widely successful Kings Wild Project, will join fans at the TORn booth throughout SDCC, playing cards and giving out free goodies. Available only at the TORn booth are letterpress gold-foil original art prints of the Tom Bombadil playing card artwork. To get these prints signed, all fans have to do is join the preview list for Jackson’s The Hobbit playing card deck.
Full assortments of products from fan-favorites like Oscha Slings, Geek Orthodox, Shire Post Mint, Happy Hobbit, and freebies from Tea with Tolkien and Books Immersed Soundscapes will also be available to snag all weekend at TORn’s booth.
