the matrix LP

No one can be told what the Matrix is, but we can certainly tell you that the movie’s soundtrack is awesome. And, for the first time ever, that soundtrack is available as a picture disc LP.

The Matrix debuted in 1999, messing with minds everywhere and introducing fans to Don Davis’ dark, complex score. In homage to the classic (and in anticipation of the fourth Matrix movie coming to theaters next year), Varèse Records is releasing a unique version of the soundtrack on vinyl. One side of the LP features the Matrix’s green code, while the B side has an image of Neo (Keanu Reeves) in action.

Fans can preorder the album here for $29.98. Its official release date is March 13.
