Pixar announced its new SparkShorts short film program last month, followed by the screening of its first three shorts at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theater. Purl is the first of the shorts to debut on Pixar’s new YouTube channel, where people can now watch the eight-minute, 43-second movie about a female ball of yarn just trying to make it in a male-dominated workplace.

Directed by Kristen Lester and produced by Gillian Libbert-Duncan, Purl stars a bright pink yarn ball named Purl who gets a job at a fast-paced, male-centric start-up called B.R.O. Capital. As the only female in the workplace, Purl takes the bull by the horns in order to fit in with the old boys’ club but has to decide whether it is worth it in the end. Watch it in full below.
