In case you missed it, Wizards of the Coast had some pretty magical live streams last week. The popular fantasy storytelling brand announced a massive lineup of releases during its virtual event, Wizards Presents.
First up, Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is expanding even further with more campaigns and lore. Wizards of the Coast announced that playtesting for One D&D — the codename for the next generation of D&D that features updated rules — began on Aug. 18. There are also several new products coming next year, including Keys from the Golden Vault, a D&D adventure revolving around heists, and Planescape, a three-book slipcase that includes a setting guide, bestiary, and adventure campaign.
Of course, we can’t forget about Magic: The Gathering. Wizards of the Coast announced upcoming additions to its Universes Beyond line, which allows fans to play Magic: The Gathering with cards representing iconic fictional settings and characters in pop culture – Doctor Who fans will be thrilled to know that the legendary British TV show is teaming up with Magic: The Gathering in a new Universes Beyond collection. Perhaps it’ll be bigger on the inside! The team also revealed details for the upcoming Warhammer 40,000 Universes Beyond release.
