Zoë Kravitz is ready to suit up and flex her superhero muscles.
Following the previously announced news that former vampire and wizard Rob Pattinson will take over the Bat mantle as Batman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman flick, we officially have our new Selina Kyle. According to Deadline, Kravitz (known for her fierce-AF roles in the Divergent franchise, X-Men: First Class, and Big Little Lies) will officially join the ranks of iconic women to bring Catwoman to life in the new film.
The Batman opens June 25, 2021, and also stars Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and (reportedly) Jonah Hill in a villainous role.
We excited to see Kravitz bring her fierce energy to Selina Kyle, and so are the comic fans and other members of the DC franchise. Her stepfather, Jason Momoa, (aka Aquaman himself) is proud of his stepdaughter joining the DC realm. Kravitz even responded with her own comment, “LOVE YOU PAPABEAR! love that aquaman and catwomen spend the holidays together from now on.” This gives us all the feels.
