The path to becoming a Pokémon master begins today.
Pre-registration for the upcoming Pokémon Masters mobile game, from the Pokémon Company and DeNA Co., is open now on Google Play and the App Store.
Trainers who pre-register will receive a notification when the game launches later this summer.
In the meantime, players can prepare for the game by watching the six gameplay trailers on the official Pokémon Masters YouTube channel. They’ll get an overview of the game’s battle and progression systems; a preview of the story mode, including a look at the Pokémon Masters League (PML) tournament on the island of Paslo; and check out the unique features of cooperative play, such as the ability to switch between sync pairs during battle. They’ll also learn how to evolve Pokémon; build the best team based on each sync pair’s strengths and specific role, including strike, support, and tech; and add new sync pairs to their teams.
Lucky Pokémon fans in Singapore with Android devices will get to put all of this gameplay knowledge to the test tomorrow when the preview version launches. Fans in Canada will also have the chance to play the preview version when it releases there soon after. Trainers in these regions can play certain parts of the game before it debuts worldwide without having to pre-register on Google Play. The game will save their progress and carry it over to the final version, so they won’t have to restart the entire game.
The Pokémon Masters free-to-play mobile game with in-app purchases will launch worldwide in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese later this summer.
