On Dec. 20, the Skywalker Saga concludes as Lucasfilm and filmmaker J.J. Abrams welcome audiences back to a galaxy far, far away for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Following a teaser trailer from Star Wars Celebration and a “special look” at this summer’s D23 Expo, the final trailer for the film was unleashed at halftime during ESPN’s Monday Night Football. It’s the best look yet at a film that Abrams recently told EW is meant to be a “cohesive” conclusion to the entire nine-film episodic saga. Along with the trailer comes the official theatrical one-sheet, which should begin popping up at theaters later this week.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Domhnall Gleeson, Richard E. Grant, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, with Ian McDiarmid and Billy Dee Williams.
Tickets are available now via Fandango and Atom Tickets, with special events and premiums available at select theaters.
If you’re interested in seeing all nine films in chronological order for the very first time, select locations will offer a Star Wars Marathon Event. Attendees at a marathon or opening night event will find special offers including opening night pins, concessions, and those doing the marathon will score a limited edition blanket.
Regal Cinemas, Alamo Drafthouse, and AMC Theatres will offer collectibles including specialty ticket stubs and limited-edition posters at events running into January.
