Yes, you can stream most of your Marvel and Star Wars faves on Disney+, but there’s something special about holding a physical copy of your favorite show or movie, making space for it on your shelf, and exploring the included bonus features.
The Walt Disney Company announced this week that four popular TV shows from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm will be released as Collector’s Edition 4K UHD and Blu-rays this year.
The titles include Marvel Studios’ Loki: The Complete First Season on Sept. 26, Marvel Studios’ WandaVision: The Complete Series on Nov. 28, Star Wars The Mandalorian: The Complete First Season on Dec. 12, and Star Wars The Mandalorian: The Complete Second Season on Dec. 12. This is the first time these titles will be on a physical disc.
Each of the discs will feature Steelbook packaging with collective box art design by artist Attila Szarka, some never-before-seen bonus features, and concept art cards.
With Loki Season 2 coming in October on Disney+, the disc details for the first season’s physical release are available now. The bonus features for Loki Season 1 include behind-the-scenes looks at the show while also giving a look into the second season, the official TVA orientation video, a gag reel with some fun outtakes, and deleted scenes.
Full details for the other three titles will be available at a later date. For those who just can’t wait to expand their collections with these Disney+ faves, all four titles will be available for preorder starting on Aug. 28.
