Dubbed by multiple news outlets as “the best sci-fi comedy you’ve never seen,” the comedy series Other Space will finally be available to stream next month!
Other Space — the brainchild of director Paul Feig— originally premiered on Yahoo! Screen back in 2015, but was canceled after one season when the platform went under (RIP). The series takes place in the year 2105 and follows a young, inexperienced, and highly flawed crew as they embark on a routine exploratory space mission that goes terribly wrong.
Although it was short-lived, the series earned very positive reviews — it maintains a 7.1/10 on IMDb and a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. The cast includes Karan Soni (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), Neil Casey (Ghostbusters 2016, Avenue 5), Eugene Cordero (Kong: Skull Island, The Good Place), Conor Leslie (The Man in the High Castle, Titans), and even Dave Franco as a guest star.
For a time, the episodes were available to watch on a Tumblr page that Feig created for the show. However, starting on Aug. 1, the show is headed to DUST, a free-to-watch sci-fi platform that is available on Roku and at watchdust.com.
Die-hard Other Space fans and those who are interested in checking it out for the first time can tune in for a free livestream and Q&A with Feig and some cast members on July 30 at 6 p.m. ET. RSVP here for the virtual event!
