ICYMI, Sonic the Hedgehog is celebrating 30 years this year, and SEGA has a lot in store to celebrate. Today, the company hosted a livestream event called “Sonic Central,” providing updates about everything that’s on the way for Sonic in 2021 and beyond.

Once of the most exciting announcements to come out of the livestream is that Sonic Colors (2010) is coming back! Sonic Colors Ultimate will be available on Sept. 7 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. Fans will be able preorder the game today to get their hands on a Baby Sonic keychain and in-game goodies.

The livestream also closed with a very brief teaser for a new game from Sonic Team, which will be coming to the Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC next year.

Other gaming updates included the news that there is a Sonic Origins compilation on the way next year, which will include Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. For this year, Sonic will appear in multiple other video games, including the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics video game and Lost Judgment. Fans can also expect some special in-game events for mobile games Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces.

The livestream also covered some of the upcoming Sonic anniversary merch, including a King Ice jewelry collection, Dark Horse’s previously announced Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-speed-ia, and a selection of coins from Apmex.
