The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, an upcoming Universal movie starring Iron Man himself as the doctor who can speak to animals, moved from its original April 12, 2019, release to January 17, 2020.

This move means the film will premier during the four-day MLK weekend. In its new release weekend, Dolittle will be up against Warner Bros’ Just Mercy and possibly Sony’s Bad Boys 3.

This new Doctor Dolittle film, the first live-action film starring the character since 2009, is written and directed by Oscar winner Stephen Gaghan. In addition to RDJ, the cast includes Rami Malek, Tom Holland, Emma Thompson, Ralph Fiennes, Marion Cotillard, Selena Gomez, Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen, John Cena, Octavia Spencer, Carmen Ejogo, Craig Robinson, and Kumail Nanjiani, among others.

The Will Packer-produced comedy, Little, will take the Voyage of Doctor Dolittle’s place in theaters for next April.
