Oncers: Get your magic beans, portals, and dark curses ready. ABC is throwing open the gates to the Enchanted Forest once again.
According to Deadline, ABC has ordered a new romantic anthology series from former Once Upon a Time (OUAT) creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, alongside former OUAT writer Brigette Hales. The new series, titled Epic, is currently in development for the network and will be set in the fairytale universe of a Disney-like Enchanted Forest. SIGN. ME. UP.
While the seven seasons of OUAT brought the likes of the Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin, and Snow White into our world as the heroes and villains tackled all sorts of curses and sticky situations, this new series will explore a more romantic vibe for a new batch of Disney characters. While Epic will (of course) pay homage to the classic hallmarks of the iconic fairytales we know and love, the main premise of the anthology is to explore love in all forms. I’m certain that this new series can fill the Storybrooke-sized hole in our hearts since OUAT‘s cancellation, especially considering all the true love ships (Captain Swan, Outlaw Queen, Snowing) the show gave us.
