Last year, Ace Comic Con Midwest made its debut at Chicago’s Navy Pier by trotting out a hard-hitting lineup of celebrity guests, and this year it’s back for a sequel.
This weekend, the event returns in a new location — the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in suburban Rosemont, Illinois — with a multifandom lineup stacked with Avengers, zombie hunters, a Kingsman, and more.
Taking place Oct. 11-13, Ace Comic Con Midwest will feature appearances by stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), including Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Jake Gyllenhaal (Mysterio), and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie). They will be joined by Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones), Gwendoline Christie (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Game of Thrones), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Taron Egerton (Rocketman, Kingsman), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Ross Lynch (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Josh Herdman (Harry Potter series), and Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why).
Ace Comic Con says that one big difference between its events and other pop culture gatherings is that the main stage is open to all in an area adjacent to the main exhibition show floor. Programming includes panel discussions with most guests, family-friendly events in the Kids’ Zone, cosplay meetups, and more. Check out the official site for exhibitor and creator listings, tickets, times, and more details.
