Believe it or not, the sci-fi classic Alien turns 40 this year. To celebrate, more than two dozen fandom-fueled companies are spawning exclusive new merch inspired by the movie franchise.
On April 26, aka the fourth annual Alien Day, there will be so much happening to celebrate the movie’s anniversary. Starting now, fans can share their personal memories of the movie for a chance to be featured on the official Alien channels. Twentieth Century Fox is also releasing a 40th Anniversary 4K Ultra HD version of Alien, which is available now for preorder.
Then there’s the merch, which is sure to make Alien fans run for their wallets. Here’s a full list of the 40th-anniversary products that are on the way.
The Making of Alien and Alien: The Blueprint (Titan Books)
The Making of Alien, available on July 23, tells the behind-the-scenes story of how this classic was made. Alien: The Blueprint follows on Sept. 10, full of technical drawings of spacecraft from the series, including the Nostromo and the Covenant.
Alien Pop! And Vynl. Figures (Funko)
Available now, this Funko collection features different versions of Ripley and Xenomorph, including a duo pack and a web-exclusive metallic Xenomorph.
Too Late to Scream print (Acme Archives & Dark Ink)
This limited-edition print by Steve Thomas is available in both a “Red Alert” regular edition and a “Blue” variant edition. On Alien Day, Dark Ink will run a 26% off promotion on this and all other Alien products.
Aliens: Dead Orbit Oversized HC (Dark Horse Comics)
This deluxe edition includes the first four issues of the Aliens story, written and illustrated by James Stokeo. The large, hardcover volume features new cover art, never-before-seen process material, and high-res scans of original art.
Aliens GE Packout (The Loyal Subjects)
Arriving in May, this collection includes all of the classic characters, including Ripley, Newt, Hudson, Vasquez, and Bishop. Each figure includes accessories and a collector card.
Aliens Xenomorph Letter Opener (Diamond Select)
On the surface, this may look like a detailed bust, but remove the tongue to reveal a metal blade that will make opening letters way cooler.
Alien 3 Trading Card Set (Upper Deck)
This new set of trading cards joins the 2017 Alien and last year’s Aliens decks. Later this year, Upper Deck will introduce Alien Covenant to expand the Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game.
In addition to these products, Fanattik will launch a line of Alien products in the UK, and Weta Workshop will release an Alien Mini Epic.
