Arrow fans may be facing the end of an era as the show’s final season approaches, but there is also a lot for them to be excited about, especially today.
Earlier this afternoon, news broke about a spinoff series on the CW, with Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy reprising their roles from the original show. The new series will reportedly center around Mia Smoak (aka Green Arrow) and the Canaries Lauriel Lance and Dinah Drake.
According to Deadline, Arrow‘s upcoming eighth and final season — set to premiere on Oct. 15 — will serve as a backdoor pilot for the spinoff. The new series will officially be a part of the Arrowverse, which also includes The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and the upcoming Batwoman.
Speaking of the final season, a second trailer for the finale also dropped today, after lead actor Stephen Amell teased it on Twitter. Check out the trailer below, and get ready to feel all of the feels.
