Baby Shark

Admit it, the simple mention of “Baby Shark” puts the song in your head for the rest of the day. Believe me, it happens to all of us, so no one will judge you if you’re caught humming the familiar melody. And just in case you thought that perhaps the phenomenon would die down, there’s absolutely no chance in sight.

Pinkfong’s Baby Shark is swimming to Nickelodeon for an all-new original animated series from Nickelodeon Animation and SmartStudy. Soon, the whole family of colorful ocean dwellers will be seen by the masses on every device where Nickelodeon is available — and that means a bunch of new toys, too! Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products will make sure of that!

“Baby Shark has captured the imagination of millions of fans around the world, so it’s no surprise it’s one of the top-10 most-viewed videos on YouTube ever,” says Ramsey Naito, EVP of Nickelodeon Animation. “At the heart of any popular piece of content is a terrific character, and we have a great opportunity to further explore the world of Baby Shark and follow this family through some great animated adventures on Nickelodeon.”

Originally hitting YouTube in November 2015, Baby Shark quickly became a viral sensation, spawning a brand that continues to grow. The single had a 20-week run on the Billboard Hot 100, and the #BabySharkChallenge generated more than 700,000 cover videos from fans around the globe.

On that note, there is only one version of “Baby Shark” that I can personally get behind. Take it away, Leo!
