Singer Camila Cabello will make her acting debut in Sony Pictures’ live-action Cinderella movie. The remake was an idea from Carpool Karaoke and The Late Late Show host James Corden, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Corden and Leo Pearlman will produce the film under their Fulwell73 banner, and Kay Cannon will write and direct.
Cabello will be involved in the music for the film, which suggests that it will be a musical of sorts. The singer was part of the band Fifth Harmony before going solo, with her No. 1 song Havana topping the charts last year.
This will be the third live-action Cinderella movie, following the 2015 film starring Lily James and the 1997 version starring Brandy and Whitney Houston.
