Netflix is heading into holiday mode with movies such as A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding dropping last week and the one-episode holiday special of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale debuting on Dec. 14. Netflix released a CAOS trailer to give us a taste of Sabrina’s nightmare before Christmas as she celebrates the winter solstice in her own witchy way.
“It’s time to light the Yule log. Otherwise, who knows what might come down our chimney,” says Zelda (Miranda Otto) in the trailer to a soundtrack of jingle bells and flashes of evil Santas, flying knives, and ghosts of Christmases past. We see Madam Satan (Michelle Gomez) take a bite out of a gingerbread man that looks suspiciously like one of the voodoo dolls she has a penchant for playing with. And the screen flashes with the words “holidays can be such a witch.” Ain’t that the truth.
