Cosplayers Getting Coffee

Unlike their kickass characters, cosplayers Paige and Christina were nothing but smiles in the latest episode of Cosplayers Getting Coffee.

After squaring off in the streets of Brooklyn (don’t worry, no humans were harmed while filming this production), Christina, cosplaying as Street Fighter’s Chun Li, and Paige, cosplaying as Mortal Kombat’s Raiden, headed into City of Saints for a cup (or two) of Joe as they chatted about cosplay fails, explained how they’d fight a real American Ninja Warrior, battled it out in a game of Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots, and more.

As far as costumes go, blue was clearly the color of the day. Paige (@plasyan) donned Raiden’s signature look, complete with a pointed rattan hat, a black-and-blue smock over a white bodysuit, and thigh-high white boots covered in armor. Meanwhile, Christina’s (@chocobobutt) blue kimono (peep that super high slit, y’all) with a wide, white belt; tall, white lace-up boots; and fierce, spiked wristbands definitely do Chun Li justice.

Watch the full episode below for a closer look at the cosplay looks, some insight into just how Paige plans to come out on top in a real and terrifying version of American Ninja Warrior (her fellow Mortal Kombat characters would absolutely not be proud), learn how Christina would handle some real-life, middle-aged Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more.

Obviously finding out who wins Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots is most important. What’re you waiting for?!
