Stranger Things 3

New York beachgoers will be heading to Hawkins, Indiana, instead of Coney Island next weekend as Stranger Things takes over Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park from July 5-7.

The amusement park will turn into the Stranger Things universe, set in 1985, to celebrate the return of the hit sci-fi Netflix series. For those of you who don’t know: No, Deno’s doesn’t accept Luna Park ride tickets, even though Luna Park’s rides surround Deno’s. Yes, it’s very annoying.

Fans of the series will enjoy the carnival rides just as Eleven and the gang do, and devour treats from Hawkin’s Scoops Ahoy ice cream shop from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Get hyped for themed surprises and signature elements from the original series, including the Hawkins Fourth of July Spectacular Fireworks Show at 9:30 p.m. on July 5. Just try to avoid getting pulled into the Upside Down so you don’t miss this epic event.

Fans on the West Coast can also join the scary-good fun at Santa Monica Pier in California this weekend, as it’s hosting its own Stranger Things-themed days. Head over to the pier — and stay away from the hungry Demogorgons — to catch the ‘80s cover bands, the Hawkins’ High School cheerleading squad, food-eating competitions, magicians, and the Hawkins Bike Shop.

Get in as many rides as possible on Deno’s Wonder Wheel in Coney Island or the Pacific Wheel in Santa Monica before binge-watching Stranger Things 3, which starts streaming on July 4.
