The ‘90s were a time when Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, Selma Blair, and Ryan Phillippe ruled the teen magazines, thanks in part to the cult classic Cruel Intentions. The movie won two Teen Choice Awards the year it came out in 1999, and two MTV Movie Awards for Best Kiss (Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair) and Best Female Performance (Sarah Michelle Gellar) in 2000. Its ‘90s nostalgia even inspired a Cruel Intentions musical featuring a throwback soundtrack in Los Angeles in 2015 and then later in NYC in 2017.
This month marks the 20th anniversary of the scandalous drama, and to celebrate, fans can re-watch Cruel Intentions in theaters for one week only starting on March 22. Visit cruelintentions.com to buy your tickets now!
