Ep. 9 packaging

Ep. 9 packagingWho knew an empty box could be so exciting?

On Friday, shortly after Lucasfilm and Disney finally revealed the title of the upcoming Star Wars movie as part of Star Wars Celebration (it’s The Rise of Skywalker, ICYMI), the companies released a first look at the product packaging for movie.

The empty box has a black, red, and yellow motif, with Kylo Ren in the top right corner, wearing his helmet while holding his lightsaber in one hand and reaching out with the other. The inside of the box is all yellow, featuring the symbol for The First Order.

Unfortunately, we won’t see any actual product for this movie until Oct. 4 (aka Triple Force Friday).

Packaging reveals for The Mandalorian and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (the other properties included in the Triple Force Friday reveals) will come at a later date.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to hit theaters this December.
