Despite all the buzz among Potterheads, wizards, and muggles alike, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is off to a less-than-magical start.
The new mobile game, from Niantic, isn’t garnering nearly as many sales or installations as Pokémon Go. Though it debuted at No. 1 in the iOS app store, it was only installed on about 400,00 devices in its first 24 hours, according to early estimates from Sensor Tower. That translates to roughly $300,000 in revenue. For some context, Pokémon Go was installed 7.5 million times during its first 24 hours of release in the U.S., garnering roughly $2 million.
It’s still early days, but you guys need to get your wizard butts in gear and head on over to the App Store.
