Gather your fellow planeswalkers and solve Ravnica’s greatest mystery!

The ever-popular trading card game Magic: The Gathering (MTG) will ring in the new year with a new set that embraces all the fun of murder mysteries. Murders at Karlov Manor will bring back favorite characters as well as introduce new ones that fans are sure to love, and everyone is ready to race around the manor trying to find a killer. Will you be able to solve this whodunnit at your next Magic game night? Find out Feb. 9 when this new set drops!

Ravnica’s greatest detective, Alquist Proft, takes on the role of investigator alongside favorite characters as they try to unearth the murderer. And you can investigate right with them! The set has 13 “Mystery Files” puzzles built into it, with a new puzzle revealed online each day starting at prerelease on Feb. 2.

You may be excited to solve the murder, but every Magic player knows that mechanics and art are also key to any set. Murders at Karlov Manor has a whole pile of new things with which players can interact. As a backdrop set, it will focus on its own new mechanics rather than the Ravnican guild mechanics we’ve already seen. Like many sets before it, Karlov Manor will also highlight characters and concepts with unique art. The set will include Ravnica City cards with guild leaders, borderless lands, a Dossier Showcase art treatment, and an invisible ink treatment.

Commander players won’t be left behind with Murders at Karlov Manor. One of Magic’s most popular formats is getting four new preconstructed decks themed around the set. Deadly Disguise is a red, green, and white deck full of Disguise cards as well as “big surprises.” Revenant Recon, in Dimir colors, is centered around resurrecting creatures and the Surveil mechanic. Deep Clue Sea is a green, white, and blue deck with Clue tokens taking you all the way to a major card advantage. Finally, Blame Game in Boros colors will have you embracing the chaos the Goad mechanic brings while you stand back and identify suspects.

If this set is reminding you of your favorite board game, Wizards of the Coast has you covered. Ravnica: Clue Edition, available Feb. 23, is fully embracing the Clue vibes. It will include cards inspired by Clue’s person, place, and object cards as well as Clue-themed shock lands. Players will need to be at their most deductive to solve the murder of Guildmage Boddy as they play through a game of Magic centered around mystery.

The new Murders at Karlov Manor MTG set will release this Feb. 9. If you need a Ravnica refresher, Ravnica: Remastered will be launching not long before it on Jan. 12. Murders at Karlov Manor will have Commander decks, the new Play Boosters (replacing Draft and Set Boosters), bundles, and more. Get ready to solve a mystery with Magic!
