Downton Abbey Gets a Movie

Bring on the fun hats! Downton Abbey is getting its very own movie.

The original principal cast from the TV series will return for the film, which begins production this summer. Also returning from the OG series is creator Julian Fellowes, writer of the film’s screenplay, who will produce alongside and Liz Trubridge. Brian Percival, director of the series’ pilot, will direct the film and show producer Nigel Marchant will return to executive produce.The best part of Downton Abbey is Professor McGonagall’s #mugglelife as a Crawley in the show—now we’re about to get more.
