dragon quest

Get ready to rediscover the magic of the Erdrick trilogy!

The first three games in the Dragon Quest franchise are making their way to the Nintendo Switch system on Sept. 27, where they will be available as digital downloads.

Originally released in 1986, Dragon Quest was a defining title in the role-playing game (RPG) genre. Players begin their voyage as “Hero,” who journeys through the realm of Alefgard. This original title will be $4.99 for the Switch.

In Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, the prince of Midenhall embarks on a journey to find the other two descendants of Erdick to defeat the evil Hargon. It will cost $6.49 to download for the Switch.

The final title in the trilogy, Dragon Quest III The Seeds of Salvation, will be the priciest download of the three at $12.49. In this game, players journey through the land of Aliahan, where a young hero must slay Baramos, the master of darkness.

All three games will utilize simple controls to mimic Dragon Quest’s retro gameplay. Epic adventures await!
