Parting is such sweet sorrow and we’re not a classy bunch so we’re not above begging—please don’t leave us, Game of Thrones!
As hard as it is for fans to say goodbye to Game of Thrones, the cast and crew are also struggling with saying farewell to the people and places that served as their home during long hours of shooting for the past seven years. Emilia Clarke posted a melancholy goodbye on Insta featuring a somber, but hopeful, picture of our favorite mother of dragons. The caption reads, “Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade. It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #?#lastseasonitis.”
Jason Momoa, Clarke’s former on-screen husband replied to her post with,“Love u. Proud of you.” We’re not crying, you’re crying.Â
The six-episode Game of Thrones series wrap will commence in 2019. According to Natalie Lee, the BAMF who makes the armory for the show, the final season will be “bigger and badder” and will include a character death. Sounds about right, but we’re still scared. It’s a wrap on the final season and we’re not ready.
