Marvel Endgame Thanos

Tickets for Marvel’s highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame went on sale this morning and, in the chaos that ensued, it was easy to miss the fact that Marvel Entertainment also dropped a new trailer for the movie.

Although the minute-long clip is officially called a “special look” and announces the start of ticket sales, it honestly gives us more than any of the official trailers have so far.

The biggest moments in the video include seeing the Mad Titan himself and seeing Tony interact with his fellow surviving Avengers (we all knew he’d get off that spaceship, but this fully confirms it).

There’s a lot of emotional stuff happening, including Tony breaking our hearts as he looks at a photo of him with Peter Parker and the official Steve/Tony reconciliation we’ve been waiting for.

The second half of the clip, however, is where things get very interesting: Around the 38-second mark, we get a voiceover from Thanos. “You could not live with your own failure,” he says. “And where did that bring you? Back to me.” That’s when we get our first look at Thanos Infinity War, along with a picture-perfect shot of Iron Man, Cap, and Thor walking toward him. (Okay, I’m really not emotionally prepared for this movie.)

Check out the full special look video here.

In addition to this not-a-trailer trailer, IMAX released its official poster for the movie today. It shows the living characters in front, while the characters who died during Infinity War are transparent in the background, along with Thanos.
