Endgame premiere

The Avengers: Endgame cast, along with plenty of Hollywood A-listers, gathered in Los Angeles last night for the world premiere of the fourth Avengers movie. Here are some of the evening’s highlights, from surprise guests to fabulous custom jewelry.

Natalie Portman was there!

The purple carpet was full of celebs who have appeared in the MCU at some point, including Matt Damon, Sean Gunn, and most of the Avengers who Thanos dusted at the end of Infinity WarFans were especially surprised and excited, however, to see Natalie Portman, who played Jane Foster, a scientist and Thor’s primary love interest, in the first two Thor films. She last played Foster in Thor: The Dark World (2011) and was mentioned briefly in Thor: Ragnarok (2017), when we learned that the couple had split.

Her attendance caused quite a stir on Twitter, with many fans wondering whether this means Foster will reappear during the final Avengers movie.

Tom Holland was NOT there.

Everyone’s favorite spoiler was one of the only major (or minor) MCU actors missing from the purple carpet. Apparently, Holland had to stay in Atlanta, where he is in the middle of filming Chaos Walking.

Brie Larson’s infinity stone jewelry was everything.

Captain Marvel (Larson) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) both rocked the purple carpet wearing jewelry inspired by the Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity Stones. We are #obsessed.

Vin Diesel wore a Groot jacket

Johansson and Larson weren’t the only ones to take inspiration from the MCU for their accessories. Vin Diesel, who voices the tree-like Groot in the MCU, wore a jacket designed to resemble his character’s bark.

Chris Evans “cried like six times.”

Apparently, the entire cast of Endgame took the stage after the movie finished. According to Entertainment Weekly, the six original Avengers each took a turn at the microphone, expressing their love for the MCU and their fellow cast members. Evans said he cried “like six times” during Endgame, while Chris Hemsworth said he cried more times than that.

After the six spoke, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige (aka the mastermind behind the MCU, nbd) received a standing ovation from the crowd.

They didn’t show an end credits scene.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t one! According to ComicBook.com writer Brandon Davis, the movie’s credits were cut off at the premiere, allowing the cast to take the stage. So, if there is a post-credits scene for Endgame, it will remain a mystery until the movie’s theatrical release.

There was a small child with the cast?

There hasn’t been much conversation online about this yet, but a young actress named Alexandra Rabe walked the purple carpet and appeared in the Endgame cast photo. Who could this tiny hero be playing? She seemed to be buddies with RDJ, so perhaps she’s Tony Stark and Pepper Potts’ daughter??

We’ll finally have our answers when Endgame opens in theaters everywhere this Friday, April 26.
