Final Fantasy VII Remake

Square Enix showcased Final Fantasy VII Remake at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2019 this week, along with special editions, ahead of the title’s official release.

The RPG video game is set in the city of Midgar and combines real-time action with strategic combat.

Several special editions of the Final Fantasy reboot will follow, including the Deluxe Edition and the 1st Class Edition. The Deluxe Edition comes packed with goodies, including a hardcover art book with concept art from the video game, a mini-soundtrack CD, Summon Materia DLC for players to summon little cacti creatures called Cactuar during the game, and a Sephiroth steelbook case. The digital version of the Deluxe Edition includes all of these features plus the ability to summon Carbuncles, adorable creatures with red gemstones attached to their heads.

Mega fans who want the full Final Fantasy package can purchase the 1st Class Edition, which includes all content from the digital Deluxe Edition, along with a Play Arts Kai Cloud Strife and Hardy Daytona boxed set.

Both editions are available for preorder now from the Square Enix Store. However, fans who preorder the games from select retailers will also receive the Chocobo Chick Summon Materia DLC launch. Digital-edition preorders from the PlayStation Store will come with the Cloud & Sephiroth Dynamic Theme for the PlayStation 4.

Cody Cristian (Teen Wolf), John Eric Bentley (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Briana White (Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders), Brit Barron (Glow), Erica Lindbeck (Spider-Man), Gideon Emery (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Matt Jones (Breaking Bad), and Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) will voice the cast.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will officially launch on PS4 next year on March 3.
