Back in December, Epic Games added the “Fortnite Creative” mode to the popular video game. In this mode, players can use their imaginations to design their dream Fortnite maps on private islands and share them with fellow Fortnite fans.
Since its launch, players have used the feature to create everything from a Super Smash Bros. stage and musical runways to space stations.
We are currently in the midst of the Fortnite World Cup Online Qualifiers, which concludes with the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City from July 26 to 28. Today, Epic Games announced that part of the $100 million prize pool will go toward a new competition: Fortnite World Cup Creative.
The Creative trails will feature five events, each focused on a new Creative game. Then, 15 participants will face off in the ultimate Creative competition during the Fortnite World Finals for a chance to win part of a $3 million Creative prize pool.
The five showcase events (trials) will run from April 29 to June 7. Each week, players can give the new Creative trail a go and submit their best clip using the event-specific hashtag on Twitter. Then, Fortnite captains will select three winners who will move on to the finals.
The first trial will be built and judged by Cizzorz. Fans can follow Fortnite on social media for the latest news on this trial and the additional Creative trials.
