Say hello to Horizon Hot Wheels Park, the newest virtual destination for gamers who want to embrace their love for Mattel’s iconic die-cast cars.
Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, the much-rumored DLC for the game Forza Horizon 5 was confirmed with an announcement trailer at yesterday’s Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase.
This new DLC will offer some of the most extreme tracks to ever appear in a Forza game, including gravity-defying magnet tracks, ice tracks, rumble tracks, and more. The expansion will offer more than 125 miles of tracks in Horizon Hot Wheels Park, a sky-high park set in the clouds above Mexico. The DLC will also have four new biomes — Giant’s Canyon, the Ice Cauldron; Forest Falls; and Horizon Nexus — and players can complete missions to unlock events in a new, five-part Horizon Story that celebrates the history of Hot Wheels.
Of course, what would a new Forza expansion be without new cars? Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels will have 10 new cars, including the 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 and the 2000 Hot Wheels Deora II. Players can also customize their very own Hot Wheels adventure with 80 unique snappable track pieces in EventLab with the DLC’s Hot Wheels Creation Kit.
Previously, Hot Wheels collaborated with Playground Games on Forza Horizon 3 — which garnered massive support from fans. This latest expansion is expected to be even greater, with major improvements and advances, such as the customizable track.
Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels will launch for Xbox consoles, PC on Windows and Steam, and cloud gaming on July 19. Racers who own Forza Horizon 5 game can preorder the DLC for $20, or get the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Add-Ons Bundle for $49.99, which includes Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels and all of the extra content included in the Premium Edition of Forza Horizon 5.
