Funko kicked off London Toy Fair today by unveiling its new POP!, Vynl. Rock Candy, SuperCute Plush, and 5 Star figures.
The company’s latest round of figures spans several universes, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Scooby-Doo, Dragon Ball Z, Game of Thrones, Bewitched, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Overwatch, Disney, Disney•Pixar, and DC Comics. Funko also revealed its new addition to the Pop! Directors collection: J.J. Abrams, director of Star Trek, Lost, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Funko will release the new figurines globally. They are available for preorder through Entertainment Earth. Here are some of the latest additions to Funko’s collections:
Funko is honoring J.J. Abrams for his film incredible work by creating a POP! figure of the director, screenwriter, and producer. You can’t take the real legend home, but you can settle with this little guy for some daily inspiration.
Morrissey is joining the collection as a POP! Rock figure. The mini former frontman of the Smiths has fresh cut flowers and swoony tunes just for you.
SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, and Squidward are joining the POP! Animation collection this year. The figures memorialize the unforgettable episodes, as they feature the characters in specific scenes. Both Target and Hot Topic will get their own exclusive POP! figures. Hot Topic will carry SpongeBob in his band outfit singing “Sweet Victory” while Target will have a smiling SpongeBob.
Just in time for the feature film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, bring Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Frieza, Majin Buu, Chi-Chi, and more Dragon Ball Z characters home as POP! figures. Just don’t let them go Super Saiyan in your room.
Funko can make anything cute, even undead horses. The company is releasing Game of Thrones figurines as part of its 5 Star, POP!, and Rock Candy collections. Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, and the Night King will join the 5-star collection. In the POP! Deluxe line, Jon Snow, Daenerys, the Night King, and Cersei Lannister, and even Tyrion get a turn on the Iron Throne. With POP! keychains of Viserion, the ice dragon, and his brother Rahegal, Ser Davos Seaworth, and a White Walker, you can bring your favorite GOT characters along for the ride. Tyrion, the Night King, Daenerys, and Jon Snow will also join the POP! Pens collection. Meanwhile, a White Walker ready to ride off on an undead horse will join the new POP! Rides collection. Cersei will also rock her short hair and crown as a Rock Candy figurine.
Harry Potter and his friends will also join the 5 Star collection, Vynl.,and SuperCutePlush collections this year. As 5 Star figures, Harry, Ron, and Hermione are dressed and ready to repot their screaming Mandrakes. In this line, Dobby is a free elf with a sock Harry gave him and hid inside Tom Riddle’s destroyed diary. Wizarding World oddballs Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom will become Vynl. figures while Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Dumbledore’s phoenix Fawkes will become SuperCute Plush dolls.
Disney-Pixar characters are a major addition to the Funko line this year. Find a friend in Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story as they become staples of Funko’s Vynl. collection. The Incredibles will also become figurines with accessories to save the day in Funko’s 5 Star line.
The Little Mermaid will be part of a whole new world as she and her friends join the 5 Star, Mini Vynl. and POP! collections. Collect Ariel, Eric, Sebastian, Scuttle, Flounder, Ursula, and Chef Louis just in time for the 30th anniversary of the movie.
Finally, Funko is bringing back the 1980s DC Comics era with DC Primal Age figures. The ripped Batman, Superman, his beast Krypto the Superdog, The Flash, Lex Luthor, Bizarro, and Black Manta will make you never want to miss a day at the gym.
