This summer of gaming has yet to disappoint — with new titles and updates dropping (and trending) almost every day. Here is some of the biggest video game news so far this week, along with the stacked lineup of additional, virtual gaming events in the next few days that you won’t want to miss.

CRASH BANDICOOT 4: IT’S ABOUT TIME REVEAL

It’s not a remake! The first original entry in the Crash Bandicoot franchise for more than 10 years, Crash Bandicoot 4: About Time, is set to launch on October 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems. The first footage of the game, above, showcased a fresh art style and some classic Crash Bandicoot-style gameplay. In the game, players uncover four powerful Quantum Masks, the guardians of space and time, that must be reunited to restore order to the multiverse.

Fans can preorder the game now at crashbandicoot.com.

MARVEL’S AVENGERS CONFIRMED FOR NEXT-GEN UPGRADES

Good news for those who preordered Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers but plan to upgrade their gaming console soon after its release: The game will be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X systems. Players who purchase the current-gen version of the game will be able to upgrade at no additional cost, and all player profile data will transfer to the next-gen version so you won’t lose your place in the game. Also, the game will support cross-gen play, so PS5 players can still virtually suit up with friends who are using a PS4 system.

JUNE DEVELOPER SHOWCASE — FEATURING ALF!

The Crash Bandicoot reveal was actually part of a larger Summer Game Fest livestream event: the Developer Showcase. You can check out the full event above to get info about more than 16 (primarily indie) games. You’ll also hear from a special tech correspondent: Alf.

BTS + UNO

This one is a little random, but a fun collab for all the BTS fans out there. The mega-popular group is heading to Uno! Mobile for a limited time, inspired by the real-life BTS Uno cards. The limited-time event features BTS-themed in-game collectibles, including avatars, voice packs, and game backgrounds.
