While New York Comic-Con fans may have already plotted their ideal schedules, they may want to make some room for a new panel featuring Oscar-winning director Guillermo Del Toro presenting his new Netflix Original series, Dreamworks Tales of Arcadia: 3Below. This marks the third panel from DreamWorks Animation Television at NYCC.
Del Toro’s anticipated Dreamworks Tales of Arcadia: 3Below will debut at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden during Friday’s events at 4 p.m. Del Toro, creator and executive producer of the new series, will be joined by star Diego Luna and his fellow executive producers Rodrigo Blaas, Marc Guggenheim, and Chad Hammes. The panel will give a first look at the upcoming Netflix Original series, the second chapter in the Dreamworks Tales of Arcadia trilogy, following the first installment, DreamWorks Trollhunters.
The new series is set to debut in 2018, with Luna and Tatiana Maslany taking on the lead roles of Krel and Aja, DreamWorks previously announced. The series follows the two royal teenage aliens and their bodyguard who flee an evil dictator’s takeover of their home planet as they crash-land in Arcadia. On the run from intergalactic bounty hunters, the trio struggle to blend in and adapt to the foreign world of high school, whilst trying to repair their ship and return home to defend their planet.
DreamWorks Animation Television previously announced She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and a DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender panels at NYCC, showcasing first looks and immersive fan experience at those other new shows from the network.
