It’s back-to-school season in the Wizarding World, and Warner Bros. Discovery is making this year’s Sept. 1 send-off extra magical. Just in time for Harry Potter’s 25th anniversary, fans can return to Hogwarts with exclusive events and merch, perfect for students past, present, and prospective.
The festivities will begin on the big screen. From Aug. 27 through Sept. 3, all eight Harry Potter films will return to theaters around the world. As a bewitching bonus, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone screenings will feature an additional 12 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage never-before-seen on the big screen. You can secure your seats as early as July 31.
Across the pond, HBO Max will celebrate the Harry Potter TV series with a one-of-a-kind event in London. On Sept. 1, fans can stop by for interactive photo ops and exclusive giveaways that pay homage to the magic of the original films as they gear up for the exciting adventures to come. More details, like location and ticketing information, will be available closer to the event.
While in London, make sure to stop by the Warner Bros. Studio Tour to check out all the brand-new activations opening in the Making of Harry Potter section. Fans can immerse themselves in the iconic series with special broadcast announcements, epic photo ops, trivia challenges, and Hogwarts-inspired bevs and bites, or get a glimpse of the new animatronic Hagrid with live demonstrations.

Can’t make it to London? Don’t worry — Back to Hogwarts events are in the works all over Europe, Asia, and Australia, from fan events, themed activations, and special screenings to a mass wand lesson at the Château de Versailles in Paris, led by critically acclaimed choreographer Paul Harris.
A visit to Universal Studios is always magical, but this month is shaping up to be even more spellbinding. Around the world, the theme parks will feature a wide variety of limited-time Harry Potter experiences, including exclusive merchandise, themed snacks, photo ops, and the return of the fan-favorite Hogwarts Always castle projection show. Whether meeting the Monster Book of Monsters in Hollywood, scoring digital collectibles in Japan, or sipping Butterbeer out of a limited-edition mug in Orlando, these events will bring an extra level of enchantment to the experience from Aug. 1 to Sept. 1.

Although we can’t visit Diagon Alley, fans can still stock up on all the latest wizarding wares at Harry Potter Shop New York and Harry Potter Shop Chicago. Both locations will host a special countdown event at 11 a.m. on Sept. 1, where fans can celebrate the series, enjoy limited-edition treats, and be among the first to shop the entire Back to Hogwarts merch collection.
You can also grab magical must-haves from top brands all month long — like The LEGO Group, The Noble Collection, Rubies, Colgate, Hallmark, and more — but the most powerful prize lies within the Back to Hogwarts Sweepstakes. Until Aug. 12, fans can enter for the chance to win a personalized Hogwarts trunk signed by Bonnie Wright, Mark Williams, and James and Oliver Phelps, plus two tickets to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London for the Sept. 1 celebration. One runner-up will also receive a bundle of merch from the new collection, so drink your Felix Felicis and sign up now at wbstudiotour.co.uk.
Whether you’re a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff, every house has a reason to celebrate this September. Find out more about Harry Potter’s Back to Hogwarts celebration at harrypotter.com.
