Oh, potatoes and molasses! Mondo is celebrating one of Over the Garden Wall‘s most memorable episodes, “Chapter 3: Schooltown Follies,” with a new set.
The latest Mondo Squads drop set reimagines the classic episode as a set of enchanting action figures, complete with potatoes, molasses, and an infamous gorilla. The preorder for the new set, as well as its accompanying art print, opens Monday, October 26, at noon EST.
The third installment in Mondo’s Over the Garden Wall figure series takes fans back to the series’ third episode, featuring Miss Langtree and her animal students. The Mondo Squad comes with swappable portraits and parts, a lunch table, a tree, spoons, and plenty of potatoes and molasses to recreate the episode’s unforgettable adventure. It even includes the Gorilla, better known as that no good Jimmy Brown, along with Wirt Jr.
Fans who already own the Chapter 1 Greg figure can give him a “Schooltown Follies” makeover with three new accessories: a Molasses Jug Arm, Two Old Cat Arm, and Potatoes and Molasses Arm.
Mondo is also returning to the Unknown with a new Over the Garden Wall poster by artist Matt Emmons. Inspired by the songs, students, and characters of “Schooltown Follies,” the four-color screenprint, Over the Garden Wall: Chapter 3 Poster — Timed Edition ($60), is printed on Manila Yellow Krafttone Paper, with separations by Juan Saniose.
Between the animal students, Jimmy Brown, and the follies that follow, these new collectibles are bringing a little sweetness of the Unknown to fans’ shelves.
The Chapter 3 figures will be available for preorder today, Oct. 26, beginning at 9 a.m. PST. Fans who missed the preorder for Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 can preorder the Chapter 1 Figure Set ($95) and Chapter 2 Figure Set ($120). The Limited Edition sets for both chapters are sold out.
