Winter is coming, and so is a Game of Thrones reunion special.
Earlier this year, the GoT cast got together in Belfast for a special that included many actors that have since long departed from the show such as fan-favorite Sean Bean (Ned Stark). The taping also featured Conan O’Brien as host.
Surprisingly, the reunion special will not be aired on HBO, the network that Game of Thrones calls home. Instead, the special will be featured exclusively on a new Game of Thrones complete series home video box set that will bring together all eight seasons for the first time ever. It’s assumed the box set will be available sometime next year, after the show’s final season airs.
Aside from Sean Bean, it’s not yet known what other past characters made it to Belfast for the reunion. And while Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) was spotted in Belfast earlier this year, he’s been known to visit the set simply as a fan of the series.
Game of Thrones returns to HBO in April.
