You might want to buckle up, baby.

The OG Lando Calrissian is back in action in Star Wars: Episode IX. After a slew of rumors and a con cancellation had people buzzing, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Billy Dee Williams is coming home to the Star Wars set for the final film in the Skywalker saga. Chewie is probably going to tell him about Han. We’re fine—it’s just allergies.

After sauntering on the Star Wars screen for the first time in Empire Strikes Back, Williams captured the hearts of fangirls and boys everywhere and as we say our final farewells (to the OG characters still standing), the chance to see Lando back in action is everything fans need—cue sassy comments about Hallmark greeting cards.

J.J. Abrams will be back to direct the currently untitled film which will, once again, star Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver. Keri Russell may make an appearance in the movie as well, but her role has yet to be revealed. December 2019 seems way too far, far away.
