Things are happening. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is en route to the big screen and we can expect to see some new faces, as well as some of our faves from the first movie.

Returning characters include Chris Pratt as Emmet (Chris Pratt), Lucy aka WyldStyle (Elizabeth Banks), LEGO Batman (Will Arnett), Metal Beard (Nick Offerman), and Unikitty (Alison Brie). New to the scene are Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi (Girls Trip‘s Tiffany Haddish), Sweet Mayhem (Brooklyn 99‘s Stephanie Beatriz), and Ice Cream Cone (Broad City‘s Arturo Castro).

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will open nationwide in 2-D and 3-D on Feb. 8, produced by Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Roy Lee, who have been behind the LEGO film franchise since The LEGO Movie‘s 2014 debut. Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After, Trolls, Sky High) will direct.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part reunites the heroes of Bricksburg to once again save their city. It’s been five years since everything was awesome, but now Bricksburg faces a new threat: LEGO Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. Join your favorite LEGO heroes on a new adventure through fun worlds, Master Building skills, and discovering what makes them special.
