ICYMI, chess is having a moment (if you haven’t watched The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix yet, you 100% should). And now, with the newest chess set from The Op, Marvel fans can learn the game — or hone their skills — alongside Marvel Comics‘ most iconic heroes and villains.
The Marvel Collector’s Chess Set comes with 32 full color, custom sculpted chess pieces. Instead of black vs. white, this chess game is S.H.I.E.L.D. vs. HYDRA. The logo for each organization serves as the pawns, while superheroes and supervillains stand in for the other pieces.
On the S.H.I.E.L.D. side, Iron Man and Captain Marvel serve as King and Queen, while Thanos and Hela take the same positions for HYDRA. The other featured characters include Black Widow, Captian America, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Hulk, Thor, Kingpin, Red Skull, Killmonger, Venom, Loki, and Ultron.
Each piece features a bust of the Marvel character, with the traditional icon for the corresponding chess piece engraved into the base.
