We’ll have to wait just a little bit longer to see Budapest.
Marvel Studios confirmed a new release date for Black Widow, pushing back the entire Phase Four film slate. Natasha Romanoff will now kick butt on screens on Nov. 6.
The movie originally had a May 1 release date, but the global coronavirus pandemic has massively affected the pop culture industry, including Hollywood theatrical releases and production.
All of the planned Phase Four movies essentially moved back one release date: Black Widow took on The Eternals’ original spot; we’ll now meet the new Eternals team on Feb. 12, 2021, which was the Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings release date; and so on.
In some good news, Marvel also confirmed that the Captain Marvel sequel will hit the big screen sooner than expected. We’ll get to see our Kree warrior back in action on July 8, 2022. Captain Marvel 2 takes the place of a previously untitled live-action film.
There’s no official word yet on whether the Marvel Disney+ shows will go on as planned, but there will probably be delays for Loki and WandaVision, which both have a spring 2021 release date. Marvel Studios currently paused production on both series.
