Disney has decided to take a lesson from Natasha Romanoff and put us all on hold.
Three Marvel films, including Black Widow, will now premiere at later dates. At this point, no one is really shocked. Theaters are open but they aren’t really open. So let’s all just be thankful we won’t have to spend $30 to watch Black Widow on Disney+.
The look into Romanoff’s past now has to wait until the future. Black Widow‘s theatrical release date moved from Nov. 6 of this year to May 7, 2021. That date previously belonged to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which will be bumped up to July 9. The Eternals was most-recently slated for a February 2021 launch but will now open on Nov. 5 of next year.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is based on the Marvel Comics character Shang-Chi. It stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, and Tony Leung. It was also one of the first films to shut down production when the coronavirus first starting ruining everything 95 years ago in March. The Eternals takes place after the events of Endgame, as an unexpected tragedy forces a group of new superheroes to unite.
