The original Ultraman hero has found a home stateside following his reintroduction earlier this year.

Mill Creek Entertainment — known as the home entertainment industry’s leading independent studio for Blu-ray, digital, and DVD distribution — and the U.K.’s Indigo Entertainment announced a new licensing partnership with Tsuburaya Productions Co. Ltd for the North American distribution of the Japanese superhero property. Mill Creek will bring more than 1,100 Ultraman episodes and 20 films under its umbrella with this new deal.

“We are excited to bring the Ultraman catalog to North American audiences through a multi-faceted release model spanning Blu-ray and DVD plus various TVOD, SVOD and AVOD digital outlets,” said Barrett Evans, VP of marketing for Mill Creek, in a statement. “In tandem with the classic series, we will also be releasing the more recent series and films to appease fans of both classic and modern Ultraman.”

This new license includes both physical and digital distribution for the Ultraman catalog, including a remastered, HD version of the classic series, recent theatrical films, and other Tsuburaya releases throughout the last 50 years.

Mill Creek’s first Ultraman releases will include the limited-edition SteelBook complete series of Ultra Q and Ultraman on Blu-ray. These will be available on Oct. 15 for $49.98 each, and as a complete collection of the series on Blu-ray in standard packaging for $39.98 each.

Each release will feature a high-definition video with DTS-HD Master Audio of the original Japanese soundtrack with English subtitles. Additionally, programs will be available to stream on movieSPREE.
