Video games based on Stranger Things and Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal are in the works, Netflix announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
Players will be able to explore elements of the Upside Down in their everyday surroundings with the location-based Stranger Things mobile role-playing game, developed by Next Games for release next year.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics will launch later this year for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac. The game’s release is timed with Netflix’s reboot of the Jim Henson fantasy film from 1982. The prequel series, launching on Aug. 30, is about three Gelfling creatures who inspire a rebellion against the cruel Emperor after they discover a horrifying secret.
