Sony Pictures released a new trailer for the upcoming Men in Black: International film, highlighting the franchise’s break from casting solely male leads for the first time in its history. And it’s making sure the audience knows it’s embracing gender inclusivity in its own way.
Following high-tech car chases, blazing guns, and new aliens, Agent H (Chris Hemsworth), who is the sidekick this time around, makes sure to point out that he and Agent M (Tessa Thompson) are the “Men — and Women — in Black.” You get an A for effort, Chris.
The rest of the trailer is all about Agent M being a boss lady, proving that she deserves to be in the top-secret agency because she was savvy enough to find it. She and Agent H team up to discover and capture the mole in the MIB while proving that she belongs in the organization.
Even if you’re on the fence about the sequel, Missy Elliott’s song in the trailer makes you lean more toward buying a ticket just so you can dance with your popcorn.
F. Gary Gray directed the movie, whose cast also includes Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Rebecca Ferguson, and Kumail Nanjiani.
Men in Black: International hits theaters on June 14.
